Kevin, Gina and the kids (plus their friends!) tackle a warm, beautiful hike to Lower Calf Creek Falls, a 130-foot waterfall in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. This is a relatively easy hike of approximately six miles out and back that runs along the creek, features beautiful red rock scenery and a major payoff, the much loved waterfalls!
They stopped at Hole-in-the-Rock Heritage Center in Escalante, a great pit stop before or after heading out on the trail. Escalante is the perfect place for basecamp, filled with amenities from lodging to camping facilities to excellent food and plenty to do in the surrounding area.
