Kevin, Gina and the kids (plus their friends!) tackle a warm, beautiful hike to Lower Calf Creek Falls, a 130-foot waterfall in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. This is a relatively easy hike of approximately six miles out and back that runs along the creek, features beautiful red rock scenery and a major payoff, the much-loved waterfalls!
They stopped at Hole-in-the-Rock Heritage Center in Escalante, a great pit stop before or after heading out on the trail. Learn about the six week pioneer tip that took six months! Escalante is a great place for basecamp, filled with amenities from lodging to camping facilities to excellent food and plenty to do in the surrounding area.
With a final stop on Scenic Byway 12 for the views and naturally some cute selfies, this is an awesome trip for the whole family.
