What’s New: Apple Cinnamon/Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Chops: View Story
Ingredients:
2x 1½ inch thick bone-in pork rib chops
Pecan spice rub or salt and pepper
1 stick butter
½ red apple, diced
½ cup dark brown sugar
Recipe:
1. Generously season the pork chops all over with the spice rub or salt and pepper. Allow to rest at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
2. Heat the grill on one side, so that you have a high-heat area, and an indirect-heat area.
3. Combine the apple, butter, and brown sugar in a heat proof container. Place over medium-high heat and allow the butter to melt, but not burn.
4. Place the pork chops on the high-heat side of the grill, and leave for 1 minute. Rotate the pork chops 90 degrees clockwise and leave them for 1 more minute. Flip the pork chops over and let them cook for 1 minute. Then give them another 90 degree rotation and let them sit for 1 minute. This will give you nice presentation grill marks.
5. Move the pork chops to the indirect-heat side of the grill and close the lid.
6. Use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chops. Once they reach 140 degrees F, give the apple/ brown sugar glaze a good stir, and drizzle the glaze over top of the pork chops.
7. Close the lid and bring the pork chops to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F. Remove from the grill.
8. Once off the heat, drizzle some more of the glaze over the pork chops, and let them rest for 5-10 minutes, then serve.

This week, Chad is joining some of the crew from the Lone Peak 4×4 Club as they take an adventure straight out of the OutsidersUtah.com adventures to show you that you don’t have to take the most popular Jeep trails in the state to have a great ride. This nice mellow ride can be a breeze but due to the recent rainstorms, some parts of the road had been washed out and recently and as a result had to be graded by the local county road crews. We cannot thank them enough for their efforts as there were some places of the trial that would be unable to drive through without their efforts. Be sure to always stay safe when dealing with washed out areas as you may never know the severity of the damage or the depth or quickness of the water if it is still running.

This trail will put your skills and your machine to the test as you traverse a wide variety of challenging obstacles. Our crew dealt with the challenges of this trail and came out unharmed but we can’t say the same for all the machines. A few small scratches, one machine was submerged in water and mud and needed a wincing but the worst of it was a broken axle to another machine. If you’re looking for a challenging trail with unprecedented scenery, the finch’s draw trail has what you need.
Where To: Lost Creek Rose Meadow Loop – Aurora City:
On this week’s Where To Adventure, we’re showing off another great trail ride that is less technical than the first but offers some spectacular beauty as well as some great remote riding for all skill levels. Visit Tunex of South Jordan or Tunex of Hunter for a boost of your own.
