Season 22 Playlist
Scofield – Tucker Loop:
This week, Chad is joining some of the crew from the Lone Peak 4×4 Club as they take an adventure straight out of the OutsidersUtah.com adventures to show you that you don’t have to take the most popular Jeep trails in the state to have a great ride. This nice mellow ride can be a breeze but due to the recent rainstorms, some parts of the road had been washed out and recently and as a result had to be graded by the local county road crews. We cannot thank them enough for their efforts as there were some places of the trial that would be unable to drive through without their efforts. Be sure to always stay safe when dealing with washed out areas as you may never know the severity of the damage or the depth or quickness of the water if it is still running.
Where To: Coastal Turkey with Reece & Marianne Stein:
On this week’s Where To Adventure, Reece and Marianne Stein are taking us back to Turkey, but this time they are showing off some of the most exquisite preserved coliseums on the coastal fronts. He quickly realized that the land was going to be far too valuable to the wildlife and outdoor recreationists alike that he never hunted the land. Instead he developed a paradise for the wildlife and recreationists to enjoy for many years to come.

On this adventure we tagged along with some of these folks to get their perspective on these potential land closures and what we can do to help keep access open for everyone.

The Lost Trails Guidebook: The Blue Ribbon Coalition is no stranger to the constant battle that takes place to keep our public lands public. Due to recent trail closures members of the Blue Ribbon Coalition have gained support through the Yamaha Outdoor Initiative to create a project where members did research to determine 30 of the most likely trails in the state that are in jeopardy of being closed due to lack of use and support. By identifying these 30 trails and riding and documenting them, they were able to create The Lost Trails Guidebook which features these 30 trails and identifies how you can get involved simply by riding, supporting and being an advocate for these trails. If you donate to The Blue Ribbon Coalition they’ll send you a copy of the book or you can visit Jorgensen’s Powersports in Richfield to pick up a copy. https://www.sharetrails.org/

With so many high stress situations around them everyday it can become a colossal challenge to maintain control of their own mental stresses and anxiety. In 2021 first responder Chris Smetana fell victim to these stresses and after reaching his all time low he realized there was not much support for first responders who are dealing with these emotions. As a result he started Mind The Frontline, a non-profit organization that focuses on first responders mental health by getting them out on adventures to enjoy the earth, ensure they remain grounded and remember it’s okay to not be okay. Recently a new manufacturer KOVE created a rally bike for this very purpose. Their goal is to make a durable rally bike that can hang with the best but is more affordable to the average person. To put their bike to the ultimate test, they sent three bikes to the Dakar rally in 2024 and all 3 finished the rally! Now, we’re meeting up with some of the folks behind these bikes and getting an in depth look at what makes them work so well. You can find more information at https://www.kovemotousa.com/.

With the help of Madd Parts Kawasaki and their professional riders, John Short and Bubba Pauli, the kids get to learn and gain inspiration from someone who has climbed the highest mountain tops.
