Operating under current guidelines the Duchesne County Fair was able to give folks a great time enjoying rodeos, corn dogs, contests, and so much more! Chad and Ria show you all the great things the fair had in store with some surprises along the way.

Chad and Ria join the Canyon Country 4×4 Club on the Seaman Wash trail in Kane County as we begin our quest to tackle 50 trails in 50 weeks for #OHV50. The journey continues to the spectacular Inchworm Arch and finally to Johnson Canyon for some petroglyphs. This great trail also leads to the old movie set of Gunsmoke!
Back by popular demand! Experience the romance of adventure in this week’s unforgettable “Where To” segment as we take you deeper into the Wickiup Trail in the San Rafael Swell. Our friends from Lone Peak 4 Wheelers Club take us on this uncrowded, unspoiled trail that leads straight to Head of Sinbad and features landmarks like Joseph and Mary, the Ogre, Locomotive Point and Dutchman Arch.
Scott Huntsman visits AAA Spring to balance the suspension of Ria’s 1966 GMC truck with two new custom leaf springs in this week’s “What’s New” segment. They use raw steel and manufacture the springs themselves right in Salt Lake City.
“Along the Way,” we catch up with BlueRibbon Coalition as they work again to keep trail access open, this time for mountain biking. Check out the Virgin River Rim Trail near Zion that features 32 miles of trails and both cliff and river views.
This awesome group works to advocate on behalf of all recreation activities from camping to OHV access to personal water craft and more so join them to support your outdoor passion!
On this week’s episode, we go rockhounding at Fish Lake! The area’s rock cairns — located on Fish Lake Scenic Byway (Highway 25) leading into Fishlake Resort — were built single-handedly by a rock sculpture artist named Lorenzo Larsen. We meet a passionate local resident working to preserve the cairns as a historical site.
What’s New:

Scott Huntsman takes on the challenging Double Sammy trail at Sand Hollow Sate Park with the Winter 4×4 Jamboree. This awesome event provides for some sick rock crawling for sure, but it’s the camaraderie that brings offroad enthusiasts from across the state to this annual get together.
Ria and Tonya Huntsman host a fantastic group of female Jeep enthusiasts dubbed Wenches with Winches as they explore Sunshine Canyon near Five Mile Pass in Tooele County. This beautiful trail may be snow covered right now but these cool ladies know how to snow wheel in style.
While the trail riding is great fun, it’s the inclusive and supportive environment that encourages women of all backgrounds and skill levels to enjoy learning, exploring and enjoying the outdoors together.

Where To: Reece Stein takes us to Great Salt Lake to discover mirabilite formations! These salt compound mounds have been found in the United States only at this location — one of only four places in the world! Check out how mirabilite-rich spring water creates this unique phenomenon and beautiful crystalized mounds on dry mud flats.
Along the Way: We meet Brody Broderick, a brave young man who turned his personal tragedy into triumph on the slopes. He and his family return to Eagle Point Resort on the five year anniversary of an accident that changed his life forever.
What’s New: Coming up this weekend, Chad tests out the new UBCO 2×2 electric utility bike from Steadmans Recreation. This motorized adventure bike gives you a 4WD experience in a 2WD machine.
It’s the dynamic duo of Chad Booth and Kevin Mortensen starring in this week’s boys-only weekend in Ticaboo. First they hit up the Ticaboo Lodge and Base Camp Adventure Lodge, which has some sweet side by sides and all the gear and maps you need for the adventure YOU want.

Explore petrified logs from 125 million years ago, petroglyph panels or even dinosaur bones, your customized adventure awaits. This weekend, Chad heads back to the San Rafael Swell with our great friends at Lone Peak 4 Wheelers Jeep Club for our latest #OHV50 trail. We hit the Black Dragon Canyon, a natural treasure and a Jeepers paradise you definitely don’t want to sleep on.
Hone your skills, meet new friends and enjoy amazing adventures in rock crawling with this awesome Jeep club! This beautiful trail features petroglyphs, including one of its namesake. Also, DYK in the early days of ranching on the San Rafael Swell, Black Dragon Wash was a wagon road connecting the Sinbad Country and Cottonwood Wash with the community of Green River. That road has now eroded away until it is now rated a moderate 4X4 road. We like history!

Reece Stein takes us to Jordan Narrows Trail for this week’s “Where To” segment. The parkway meanders through both urban and rural environments, and with the parks, wildlife, boardwalks and flowers you can enjoy, you will see why we recommend this trail for your next outdoor adventure.
In this week’s “What’s New” segment, Scott Huntsman installs mods on a 1956 Chevy pickup. He chooses a new Edelbrock carburetor and expertly calibrates this epic street rod with fine tuning only our Tunex expert can show you!
Chad heads to Eagles Landing Veterans Golf Tournament in Mesquite, Nevada in this week’s “Along the Way.” The tournament benefits the Utah National Guard Charitable Trust, which provides directly to the families of veterans. This four-person scramble style event is a favorite for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a leisurely golf game where the real winners are the veterans.
Kevin and Gina head to the Little Creek Mesa Trail, a 35-mile trail in the Apple Valley area in southern Utah. Enjoy miles of uncrowded trails in beautiful Little Creek Mesa. Ride right up to the cliff’s edge and enjoy vista views as far as the eye can see. This unspoiled trail also features petroglyphs and even an ancient granary.
Base camp is Hurricane, where there are plenty of options to fuel up, eat, stay and enjoy some history in this charming small town.
Nick Chase heads to Toquerville Falls with Tri-State ATV Club in this week’s “Where To” segment. Just six miles out from Toquerville, this ATV trail features dirt roads, rocky trails and water crossings. You’ll experience incredible views that change as the hours pass, and whether your preference is high desert, fertile washes or sparkling streams and waterfalls, this trail represents all the natural beauty and different topography Utah has to offer.
Hungry? You will be after you see our upcoming “What’s New” segment featuring t-bone steaks from Yardley Premium Beef! Chad and Ria put their sizzling touches on this simple but decadent recipe paired with creamed corn! Whoa!
This week, our social media manager Kat Kennedy takes a break from the keyboard to embrace the mountains with Tracked Out Adventures for Babes Shred Pow, a brand new all-female backcountry snowmobile tour!
Left Hand Collet Loop is our latest off-the-beaten-path exploration for 50 trails in 50 weeks for #OHV50. Chad grabs his buddies and takes his side by side to the place where the old and new West meet. This 60-mile loop traverses through Cedar Wash Road, Hole in the Rock Road up to Left Hand Collet and finally Collet Top Loop.
Base camp is the quaint town of Escalante, where you can grab a map from any of the outfitters and plan some time for stops to enjoy the trail’s many highlights like an ancient Anasazi era granary. Connect with Utah’s pioneer heritage with a stop at Escalante Heritage Center or stroll through the streets after a visit to the People’s Exchange, where you can get a map of historical places in town.
Reece and Marianne Stein head to McDowell Sonoran Preserve in the foothills of Scottsdale, Arizona for this week’s “Where To” segment. It’s America’s largest urban nature preserve at 30,000 acres with 225 miles of shared use trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The trailhead features excellent signage, maps, restrooms and some shade as well as information kiosks and impressive vista views.
Scott Huntsman is back for our latest “What’s New” segment featuring a Pioneer AppRadio installation. This multi-use, touch-screen component is a great addition to any vehicle, but it’s the expert installation that can make or break it.
Scott sodders and heat shrinks the cable connections for the highest quality audio and longevity for the system. As part of the package, he installs a GPS antenna for navigation, a microphone for hands-free phone use, a USB cable, a radio antenna adapter as well as the amp connection.
Nick Chase has his head in the clouds at the Kanab Balloons & Tunes Roundup in our “Along the Way”! Get an up-close look at these enormous and whimsical balloons and enjoy their colorful juxtaposition against the majestic red rocks of Kanab. “Along the Way,” we’re back at Sand Hollow State Park with Jorgensen’s for their annual First Ride! This year, the event opened up from dirt bikes only to include side by sides, and naturally we were there to capture all the fun.

A little rocky offroading is just part of the thrill of the experience, as is making new friends and learning to handle steep terrain or even build jumping skills like this crew!
Kevin and Gina and the kids go exploring with our friends from UTV Utah and Gorilla Offroad for the first annual Watermelon Crawl. The group heads to Crystal Geyser, a rare cold-water, carbon dioxide-driven geyser that erupts twice daily. It’s a popular spot for good reason. Even with cloudy skies and some sprinkles, you can’t help but become entranced by the cascading colors of sandstone, sparkling waters and epic views.
In this week’s “Where To” segment, Reece and Marianne Stein are sharing their memories of a Southern Caribbean cruise that will sure to have you booking your adventure ASAP (many cruise lines are planning for a late spring or early summer re-launch!).

While it’s serious business to recover an avalanche survivor, her handler Peter Tucker makes sure that to her it’s all a game. Watch this incredible bond between handler and rescue dog and learn how she trains to help in an avalanche emergency.
Chad and some very special friends christen the Poison Springs Loop in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, a new eight mile route that connects the trail system and is now open to side by sides and ATVs for the first time!
From epic views you simply can’t beat to lively water crossings (the Dirty Devil River to be exact!) to notable features like Butch Cassidy’s inscription and naturally, towering rock formations, the sheer vastness and unrivaled beauty of this area will knock your socks off!
Base camp is the town of Ticaboo, where we stayed at the Ticaboo Lodge and enjoyed awesome rentals from Base Camp Adventure Center. Plus there’s plenty of food options at Moki’s and several other nearby spots in Bullfrog.
On this week’s “Where To” segment, Nick Chase and our friends from teh Utah/Arizona ATV Club explore Crocodile Trail. Ten miles east of Kanab between Johnson Canyon and Kanab Canyon, the sandy oasis of Crocodile Trail will certainly enchant you. Just 15 miles northwest of St. George, this well-connected trail system offers a full day experience or you can simply spend a couple of hours.
The diverse trails include red rocks, vast desert, joshua trees, abandoned mines and spectacular views, just to name a few highlights. Take some time to explore the park as well, which features kayak rentals, a boat ramp, camping and fantastic fishing.

Reece and Marianne Stein visit wild, primitive Sloan Canyon in the Mojave Desert of Las Vegas in this week’s “Where To.” With 300 rock art panels, wildlife like bighorn sheep and some challenging terrain, this moderate hike has a couple of options to explore the beautiful Southwest.

Following in the footsteps of Jim Bridger and other explorers before them, the American Mountain Man Association members are adventurers at heart. In this week’s “Along the Way,” we accompany them on the Bear River Run as they attempt to recreate Bridger’s journey of nearly 200 years ago.

This is a relatively easy hike of approximately six miles out and back that runs along the creek, features beautiful red rock scenery and a major payoff, the much loved waterfalls!
They stopped at Hole-in-the-Rock Heritage Center in Escalante, a great pit stop before or after heading out on the trail. Escalante is the perfect place for basecamp, filled with amenities from lodging to camping facilities to excellent food and plenty to do in the surrounding area.
Mystic Hot Springs is in the spotlight for this week’s “Where To.” This natural wonder near Monroe, Utah spews 168 degree water at 200 gallons a minute.

We’re focusing on best practices for being responsible stewards of the trails and of our lands while having some serious fun on a small chunk of BLM’s 22 million acres of public lands. These are our lands, so enjoy them, take care of them and share them for generations to come.
We beat the heat heading from Salina to Gooseberry on the Lion’s Trail with North Sevier Rec in this week’s “Where To.” The beautiful trail in the Fishlake National Forest is filled with gorgeous cedars, junipers and aspen, not to mention wildflowers in full bloom, so now is the perfect time to plan your adventure in some higher elevation areas of the state. Base your trip out of Salina City, the hub city to stay and eat as well as enjoy access to all Southern Utah has to offer.

In this week’s Along the Way, we catch up with another of our Legends of the Trail, Mark Habbeshaw, a former Kane County commissioner who fought tirelessly for OHV trail access.
He worked to preserve offroad usage of established roads within the Grand Staircase -Escalante National Monument in Kane County including an act of civil disobedience when it came to removing restrictive signs on roads that actually belong to the county.
Kevin, Gina and Hanna head to the Papa Bear Run in Marysvale! This Father’s Day poker run-style event was organized by our very own Shannon Bushman and has been going strong for 15 years with no signs of slowing down. The riding is moderate and easy to enjoy for the whole family so it’s a fantastic event and trail system even for beginners. Plus, the ride wraps up with some Big Daddy’s BBQ and lots of prizes, so it’s definitely one not to miss.
In this week’s “Where To,” Reece and Marianne Stein head to Bonanza Flats, a 1,500-acre conservation area that is open to hiking, biking, and horseback riding. This area just an hour from Salt Lake City features lush meadows with blooming wildflowers, quaking aspen and inviting lakes.
In our “What’s New,” we visit the Yardley’s for biscuits and gravy casserole. This one dish wonder is filled with sausage, biscuits, eggs and cheese, all the fixins for a breakfast of champions, And while it won’t whittle your waistline much, this decadent delight will give you a filling, hearty start to the day. The Yarldey’s love to enjoy this dish when they’re out at the lake!
We catch up with the BLM on this week’s “Along the Way,” and this time we’re focusing on preserving ancient rock art panels that have been faced with Increased incidences of vandalism. From rock carving to spray painting or even shooting, these ancient historic sites will be lost without us stepping up to care for them. Instead of “leaving your mark” through destruction, take a photo and share with the world that you’re a good steward.
Chad and Ria visit Sevier County for the annual 2021 Fishlake Search and Rescue Conference. This event brings together volunteer first responders from throughout the state to learn new skills that may just help you or your loved ones in an emergency.
They participate in a mock helicopter rescue on Fish Lake, meet up with some adorable lifesaving pups and operate an underwater drone that detects thermal heat in murky waters and extreme depths.
In this week’s “Where To,” Reece Stein visits Salt Lake City’s newest city park, Three Creeks Confluence Park, which joins Red Butte, Emigration and Parleys creeks in a restored channel that spills into the Jordan River. A beautiful park, metal artwork, new bridges and additional kayak/canoe access points provide a convenient connection to the west side of SLC and a new way to enjoy the Jordan River.

It’s been a while for some of us, and some of our kids have no idea how to read them at all! Time to brush up and make sure you can explore safely even without a cell phone.
On this week’s “Along the Way,” we head out on the JJS Memorial Ride, which honors Jayden Snyder, an outdoor enthusiast who tragically lost his life just one year ago. For his angel anniversary, Jayden’s family and friends hosted a memorial ride that honored his passions, and we were fortunate enough to tag along.
Kevin, Gina and Shelby escape the heat for some high elevation adventures on the Piaute Trail with the National ATV UTV Jamboree! They traverse terrains from high mountains into the desert, exploring the diversity and unrivaled beauty the Piute Trail offers.
Started in 1987, the National ATV UTV Jamboree is the longest running ATV jamboree in the country! Attendees enjoy learning about the history of the area from passionate guides, go fossil hunting for trilobites and take in the fabulous views for miles.
In our “Where To,” we explore the Marysvale to Otter Creek Trail in Sevier County. While Marysvale enjoys the rustic charm of small town living, it’s becoming more and more popular for the OHV crowd from around the state. With views of the Rocky, Tushar and Monroe mountains as well as vast overlooks of all of Sevier County, this gorgeous, quiet trail is unforgettable and keeps many a resident coming back for more.
On this week’s “What’s New,” we head to Jorgensen’s for an introduction to the Boony Stomper! This awesome sleeper camper from Sunnyside Offroad is the perfect overnight trailer that ‘s light and tough, even on the rough trails you love. It’s coil springs and steep-angled shocks provides smooth comfort when you’re pulling on the highway or rough trail.
On this week’s “Along the Way,” we head to Strawberry Bay Reservoir for some camping adventures! On the lake, a pontoon boat is easy to drive and host the whole family and enjoy a day of fishing, swimming and paddle boarding. At camp, the kids get down with riding bikes, chilling in the hammock and exploring some sxs trails. The group finishes the day with a big feast complete with a campfire and smores!
On this weekend’s episode, Chad and Ria join up with Utah State Parks OHV Program and Public Lands Equal Access Alliance (PLEAA) for an ATV ride on the Shoshone Trail. As one of the most recognizable trails in northern Utah the high elevations and alpine forest makes great riding for the steamiest part of the year. Travel through sage brush into the forest with a stop at one of the many meadows blooming with wildflowers and check out Bug Lake.
Together with State Parks, PLEAA is creating a better trail experience for offroaders, including improved signage and maintenance, and there’s no better place to enjoy their efforts than this trail system. .
In this week’s “Where To,” Reece and Marianne Stein join some friends for a hiking adventure in northern New Mexico. The Tsankawi Trail invites you to follow in the steps of the Pueblo Indians who once called this area home. Explore narrow trails carved out of volcanic ash, Native American ruins and gorgeous valley views in this short trek through Bandelier National Monument.
We catch up with the Yardleys this weekend in our “What’s New” for meatballs and marinara featuring Yardley Premium Beef. Try these perfectly seasoned meatballs with spaghetti or even in a sub roll slathered with cheese and sauce for a meatball sub to die for.
In this week’s “Along the Way,” we meet with Dan Thomas, owner of Rocky Mountain ATV, as we name another trail hero for our #OHV50 Legends of the Trail series. This employee-owned company designs and engineers the offroad products you love including powersports gear, parts and accessories as well their own brands like Tusk and A.R.C.
Dan has also served on the board of multiple organizations fighting to improve trail access. But it just might be his creation of a lasting company culture of respect and appreciation for the outdoors that has earned him a spot on this prestigious list.
This weekend, Kevin and Gina visit the Devil’s Armchair in beautiful Sevier County. This half day ride winds through juniper, scrub oak and aspen hugging the mountain as you meander up and down the ridges. The Piaute Trail is a family friendly, safe and well maintained trail system that is perfect for a leisurely ride by any skill level.
Base camp is Richfield, a small town with all the amenities you could want and some historic charm to boot. Richfield provides unrivaled access to the Piaute Trail among many other fantastic rides.
In this week’s “Where To,” we launch ourselves to a new planet for the Swing Arm City Dirt Bike Ride. Take a ride on the moon at this out-of-this-world destination that boasts countless hills, intense drop offs and razorbacks, along with some of the country’s biggest natural jumps.
Ria joins Smoke Ain’t NO Joke BBQ and the Pitmaster Podcast’s Anthony Lujan for some chuck roast burnt tips. He uses competition-style rubs and slow smokes it at 250 degrees for four to five hours. Add some Blues Hog BBQ sauce and cook until carmelized.
We head to Portland to cool off from the summer heat and way too much smoky air in this week’s “Along the Way,” We take a high-speed, splish-splashing ride on Willamette Jet Boat Tours. Cruise down the Columbia River at speeds up to 50 mph, this river adventure tour features the shipyards and history of the area.
Chad and Ria join Bud and Celeste Bruening to explore the Arapeen Trail just outside Ferron. The trail offers exceptional mountain riding including water crossings, beautiful meadows of wildflowers and lakes around every bend.
Base camp is Big Mountain Lodge in Ferron where you can not only gas up and chill out, you also have access to even more trails, lakes, camping and one of our favorites, the San Rafael Swell. Big Mountain Lodge features a restaurant and coffee shop on site as well as UTV and watersport rentals. Enjoy fishing, golf, jet skiing or paddle boarding all within minutes of the lodge.
In our “Where To,” Reece and Marianne Stein enjoy a day hike on the Wasatch Crest Trail, which runs along the ridge between the Salt Lake canyons and Park City. This beautiful multipurpose trail is lined with wildflowers, wide open tundra and groves of aspen and pine.
This is the perfect late summer into early fall hike. It’s so lovely in fact, it’s one of Marianne’s top five mountain hikes! It’s approximately 11 miles and takes five to six hours at a leisurely pace.

In his family’s grief, they set up the Taylor Hagen Memorial Foundation to raise awareness for suicide prevention.
